Tom Dodd (Vice Chair)
Sue Corner (Secretary / Treasurer
We welcome Peter back to the Group after a prolonged period of absence.
1. Progress Update
Writing the Plan – We have a first draft of the Plan complete enough to be able to print five copies for the fete and to send it to Neil Pearce for his comment. Neil has also been asked to provide evidence of how our policies are supported by national policy.
Village Fete – Posters have been printed which show the Policies as they now appear in the Plan (which have changed a bit from those presented at the site assessment event in November 2018). We have also produced presentation material which shows the phases and the timeline of the consultation, examination and referendum stages.
2. Next Steps
Writing the Plan – Sue is to contact Alan Munn at SNC regarding a review of sites by them, to ascertain whether we need to carry out a Strategic Environmental Assessment. This is a requirement before a Plan can be submitted for examination. Sue is to send a compressed version of the Plan to Steering Group members under separate email.
The Plan is being presented at the Parish Council meeting on Monday 3rd June, to give Councillors the opportunity to review the Policies and Actions before we enter the consultation phase.
Village Fete – All available Group members to convene at The Green at 10am on Saturday 8th June. Sue is to produce a briefing document to assist with any questions which are likely to arise. Sue to check we can get access to the Youth Club on Saturday morning and afternoon.
3. Date of Next Meeting
The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday 27th June at 7.30pm in the Youth Club, however, depending on progress, we may provide an update by email.
