Peter Cambatta is standing down from the Steering Group due to ill health.  The Steering Group sent him their warm wishes.

Two members of the public attended in order to vote for their preferred site as they weren’t able to attend the event on 24th/25th November.

1. Progress Update

Site Assessment Event - Many thanks to those who contributed to a successful event.  Over 100 attended and a lot of interest was shown in both the sites and the draft policies.  Thanks to Tom for his hard work in preparing the material and arranging for printing.

Responding to comments made the decision was taken to open postal voting until Sunday 16th December.  The website has been uploaded with the relevant information and an email link through to Sue.

Writing the Plan – Tony has produced an excellent piece on densities within the village and how we can use them to set the density of each of the sites being assessed.  This is attached to the minutes and will be used as evidence for the relevant policy and attached as an Appendix to the Plan.

Ellie Gingell – Ellie has advised us that she is leaving SNC at the end of January.  She has offered advice particularly around identifying heritage assets and SEA screening.

2. Next Steps

Site Assessments – Sue to finalise the report on the process and outcomes.  Sue to chase Dave Hayward for information relating to archaeology.

Writing the Plan – Advice to be sought from Neil Pearce about the timing of SEA screening. According to Ellie this can be carried out when policies are in draft form and preferred sites have been identified.   In Ellie’s view this can be preferable to waiting until the draft Plan moves into the consultation phase.

3. Date of Next Meeting

The next meeting will be held on Thursday 31st January 2019, at 7.30 in the Youth Club.  Apologies to those present who may have put 24th in their dairies.
