1. Progress Update

Finance – The approved grant has been received by the Parish Council.  SC has arranged for the funds to be transferred to our Neighbourhood Plan account.

Site Assessments – All sites have now been assessed individually and the Group have worked through all the scores across all sites to ensure consistency.  During this exercise changes were made to the scoring mechanism and to the evaluation tests.  One new test was added which is “to what extent would the site contribute to the local housing need” and No. 14, was amended to read “is there any adverse impact on conservation / heritage sites”.

Five tests remain unanswered, three have been sent to the landowners for their response, one is on ecology and environment and one is on archaeology.

The output of this exercise is attached.

Fete – TD is preparing material for printing for presentation at the village fete on Saturday 9th June, which will show our preliminary findings.

2. Next Steps

Site Assessments – Three Landowners have responded to our request for information, two have sent holding replies and three haven’t responded at all.  The Working Group will decide how to progress this part of the assessment.  Contact information for expert input on ecology / environment and archaeology are being sought.

Development Densities – The site assessment exercise needs to be able to apply a number of houses per hectare to show what could be accommodated on each site.  We would want any future development to match existing densities within the village.   Normally this is between 35 for rural housing increasing to between 35 and 50 for urban development, however, we feel that this should be less for Nether Heyford.  TC has undertaken to identify the densities currently within the village so that we can apply this figure within our assessment process.

3. Date of Next Meeting

The next Group Meeting will be on Thursday 28th June at 7.30pm in the Youth Club.
