1. Progress Update

Meeting with Ellie Gingell – Among matters discussed was the allocation of a preferred site for development within our Plan, and Ellie has sent us documentation to assist with this process.  The working group will discuss the options and present to the Steering Group for an agreed way forward.  The same applies to designating green spaces.

Consultation Weekend – Confirmed times are 7.30pm on Friday 23rd March, 10.30am on Saturday 24th March and 2.30pm on Sunday 25th March.  TD has produced statements which reflect the output of the launch event and the household survey.  These will form the basis of the presentation and are attached.  The statements were discussed during the meeting and all were asked to email TD with any comments or if they wanted anything adding.

The presentation will be followed by an interactive session over refreshments.

2. Next Steps

Allocation of a Preferred Site – It was suggested that the occasion of the Village Fete in June would be a good opportunity to present the output of the site assessments and give villagers the opportunity to vote on their preferred site.  This will be the focus for the working group during April and May.

Consultation Weekend – All to confirm which presentations they are able to attend.  DM offered his trailer for collection of presentation materials.  TD is working on the leaflet to be distributed door to door prior to the event.  Leaflets are to be handed out at a short meeting in The Foresters on Wednesday 14th March at 7.30pm, and delivered, if possible, by Sunday 18th March.  TD is to arrange printing of the leaflet and other materials.

SC is to arrange advertising via Facebook with Sue Boutle and Lesley Dilkes.

We will need to capture numbers of attendees and details of any feedback or questions.

The working group’s focus during March will be on material for the presentation.

Finance – SC to commence the process of obtaining further grant funding from 1st April.

3. Date of Next Meeting

The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday 29th March at 7.30pm in the Youth Club.

Meetings will continue on the last Thursday of each month, and the Youth Club has been booked until the end of September.
