1. Progress Update
Plan Content – A comprehensive document has been received from Jim Arnold setting out the situation with regards to flood risk and infrastructure status. The Group thanks Jim for his efforts and attention to detail.
On the same subject, the working group have spoken with Neil Pearce, via conference call, to seek guidance on policy writing. Very helpfully, Neil has a range of policy templates that should prove very useful. We also discussed designation of green spaces and identifying a reserve (development) site.
Meeting with Ellie Gingell from SNC – Ellie has taken over from Jennie Johnson as the Planning Officer with responsibility for supporting Neighbourhood Plans. The working group are to meet with Ellie on Monday 5th February when, among other things, we will raise the questions of designation of green spaces and a reserve site.
Consultation Event – The weekend of 23/24/25 March has been chosen for the next residents’ consultation event which will be to present draft Vision, Objectives and Policies. Three sessions will take place, on Friday evening, Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon and will take the form of a presentation by the Group, followed by an interactive session. The village hall has been booked and February’s Prattler article introduces the objectives process and gives advance publicity of the event.
2. Next Steps
Plan Content – The rest of the meeting was given over to discussing objectives. Lots of ideas were put forward and the working group will incorporate these into draft objectives to present at the next meeting.
Consultation Event – The event is to be publicised by a leaflet drop to all households. This will need to be with the printers in early March, therefore content will need to be finalised at the next meeting.
3. Date of Next Meeting
The next meeting is to be held on Thursday 22nd February at 7.30pm in the Youth Club.
